Removing a share only deletes the entry. Nothing on disk is touched.

Who can sign in

Room mode reads the member list from the bot, so leaving the room takes access away on its own. Federated accounts have to use the sign-in code — the silent Element widget only works for local ones.

Being on the admin list is not enough on its own — the sign-in code has to be sent in this room. A code sent anywhere else only ever makes an ordinary session. Leave blank to disable admin sign-in entirely.

A share link hands the file or folder to anyone who has the URL, with no sign-in. Letting everyone make them means any user can publish anything they can read.

Share links

Anyone holding one of these can open the file or folder without signing in, and they do not expire. A folder link can only see inside that folder. Revoke one and it stops working immediately.
